How to Fish Creatures

Searchable, evidence-labelled creature and boss records for How to Fish.

Checked 2026-09-11 · Applies to Patch level not stated by source

Quick Answer

Search 34 creature-to-lure mappings and 10 separately labelled boss-trigger records. These records do not establish whether the collection total is 44 or 49, and a checklist mark is never treated as verification.

Creature Tracker

34 creature-to-lure mappings and 10 separate boss-trigger records are searchable. This is not a claim about the collection total.

Normal 0 / 0 Drip 0 / 0 Overall 0%

Progress stays in this browser only. A collection mark records your checklist state; it does not prove that a Drip version exists or that the record counts toward an achievement.

Pike bait name and Drip tracking

Community-reported / Limited confirmation: “French Fry Bait” is described by one community reply as a nickname for default bait, not a verified formal UI label or a separate Lighthouse item. The documented Pike mapping remains Free Lure / Beginner Lure.

Normal Pike and Drip Pike are two checklist states for the same reported creature record. Marking either state does not verify the bait name, catch location or Fishipedia classification. Use Lure Lookup for the naming caveat.

Patch 1.0.10 Anglerfish note

Official / Verified: PATCH 1.0.10 says Anglerfish was slightly nerfed because it had a lot of health. The announcement does not publish a new health value or percentage, so this tracker does not present one.

Patch 1.0.12 Piranha and Tuna notes

Official / Verified: Patch 1.0.12 rebalanced Piranha and slightly nerfed Tuna. The official notes do not publish health, damage, movement, drop-rate or other numerical changes.

Needs retesting on Patch 1.0.12: do not treat an older Piranha or Tuna encounter, weapon choice or route as a current optimal strategy until it has been reproduced on the new patch.

How to use the Creature Tracker

  1. Search by name, island, rod, lure or boss trigger.
  2. Use Type or Boss/Quest filters to keep regular mappings separate from special records.
  3. Mark Normal and Drip independently; both states stay only in this browser.
  4. Copy the filtered URL when sharing a route. Progress marks are not included in the URL.

Why the totals remain unresolved

The searchable records combine two different evidence sets: regular creature-to-lure mappings and reported boss triggers. They are not automatically equivalent to Fishipedia entries, quest objects or Drip variants. Until those classifications are reconciled in the current game build, the site reports the documented subset instead of promoting an “all creatures” number.

Submit a useful correction

A correction should include the game version, island, active quest, rod, lure or trigger, result and a screenshot when possible. A second independent reproduction can move a record from Reported toward Community tested.
